When we bought this house, this is what my future office looked like:
Now, after lots of painting, some trips to Ikea, and a lot of hard work, I have a lovely writing room!
In this picture, the wall looks a little more blue than it is. It’s really a deep, rich, royal purple. Look closely at the wall hanging. Those are pillowcases embroidered by my grandmother. I was reading a “get organized” book and the author had firm beliefs about mementos and heirlooms. “Use it, display it, or get rid of it!” I dug them out of storage and hung them up!
Books, books, wonderful books!
My meditation station…where I go when it becomes more about the publishing business, and less about the writing, to get myself back on track.
My vintage handbag collection, my dolls and high chair from when I was a kid, and my baseball hat collection. Show it off or lose it!
I have a cool collection of hand carved wooden fairies and my grandma crocheted teacups for them to live in.
Me, hard at work!
Thanks for stopping by!
I love the pics of your writing room! Thanks for sharing them.
It looks great! I love the vintage handbags
Katrinka and Amy! I wondered where they would find a home! I like the happily ever after, too–it seems to fit the decor quite nicely.
Happy writing!
