I really liked this book, but I think I would’ve liked it even more if I’d read it in a few months or even a year from now. I just finished Dessen’s THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER and the themes are so similar, even though the situations are different, they’re both about truth, hiding it, and learning to face it. All good themes, fabulously written and great characters. It’s kind of like if you see a great movie and then see another great movie with the same theme, you can’t help but like one more. If you’d seen them a year apart though, you might not even think to compare them. I just bought LOCK AND KEY. I might hang on to it for a while before I read it. Just in case.
I also zipped through another Diane Mott Davidson mystery. THE LAST SUPPERS. As always, a fun, light read.
