It’s true. I’m all aflutter today. I can’t concentrate. I’m revising, or trying to, and at this stage in the draft, it usually takes me about 30-60 minutes to revise a chapter. I’m mostly cutting repetition, tightening, adding in a small new thread here and there…minimal stuff. It is 1:39pm and I have been up since 6am (WAY EARLY for me) and yet, I have only managed to do one chapter. Yep. One. On a normal day I do 3-5.

What have I done instead?

Watched The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and various SNL sketches from last night on TV.

Gone to CNN.com about a dozen times.

Gone to NPR.org a zillion times

Checked my Facebook page to see what people are saying…a trillion times.

Visited YA For Obama every hour or so.

And you know where this is going, right? THERE’S NO NEWS. They can’t report ANYTHING yet…so why am I doing this instead of writing???? You tell me.
