Last night, I was making homemade pizza. I had a craving. I have this craving quite a bit, actually. I said to my husband, “You know, I think I crave pizza so much because they’re always eating it in YA books. He laughed.
But it’s true, isn’t it? Think about it. The single mom has to work late and leaves money for pizza. Teens go out for pizza for almost all first dates (although, coffee is becoming quite popular). After all, according to answers.com Americans eat 9 acres of pizza a day! If we see a rise in characters ordering sushi in times of crisis, then maybe that will make the list.
After dinner last night, I settled into the big blue chair for some reading and right in the climax of the book, while they were waiting for the big news from the hospital…they ordered pizza. It kind of makes me hungry to talk about it. I wonder if we have any leftovers?
LOL I think you’re right. I never crave pizza but whenever I read Janet Evanovich I want to eat!
