I enjoy adult fiction on a limited basis, but, like you, I’m a kid at heart. I just LOVE YA. I signed up for “The Wheelchair Project” (check out Shannon Hale’s website: http://www.squeetus.com) since I’ll be in Salt Lake on the weekend of the 19th. It looks like a great opportunity to meet some excellent YA authors, including Mrs. Hale herself! All the proceeds go directly to purchasing wheelchairs for folks in need all over the world. I love YA authors who live the standards that they write about. Very cool.
I love your list, Joelle! Yes, especially No 4. If you also make a list of why you prefer to WRITE young adult fiction, you should mention the devoted reading audience who will read a YA book more than once & tell all their friends about it, too. What writer wouldn’t want fans like that?
You make a compelling argument for writing YA!
oh I agree, especially with No 4!
You were right I loved the Mediator and I did immediately want the next one!
