Depending on how late you sleep, if it’s past noon Pacific time when you read this, there is every chance in the world that I will have made it through the first round of edits on my new book, The Right & the Real (at the time of typing this, I have 16 pages to do). Lest you get too excited, I should say that this is the first slog through I’ve done with my editor’s brilliant notes. But the manuscript is still a big mess and I have loads to do before I can hand it in by September 1st. Still, I thought I should update you since blog posts have been so spare this week. In the meantime, drop by The Debs where I am blogging today.
Next week I’m hosting a contest here, starting Tuesday, so make sure you come back.
Speaking of contests, you can enter to win a copy of Restoring Harmony over at Manga Maniac’s Cafe. Also, there’s a nice review of Restoring Harmony here, and an author interview will be posted Monday on this same site, if it’s not up already.
In other news, especially interesting to librarians and teens, Restoring Harmony has been added to Kay Cassidy’s Great Scavenger Hunt. Teens and librarians can win tons of great prizes and it’s open to both U.S. and Canadian libraries. Thanks, Kay, for having me.
Last but not least, I do want to add, Happy Birthday wishes to my mum, and my Sous Chef! And if the Pastry Chef is reading this and I didn’t tell her happy birthday way back in February, don’t get your apron strings in a wad ’cause I’m saying it here. Happy Late Birthday to you too.
Whoooo! Hooray round one edits! And happy birthday to your mum, your Sous Chef, and the Pastry Chef!
