The nice thing about this sequel is if you accidentally pick it up and read it before you read Benny and Omar, it doesn’t matter at all. Which is good, because it doesn’t say anywhere on it that it’s the sequel. This book is really funny and a great adventure. Set in a coastal town in Ireland, it sent me looking for pictures (note to Irish tourism board: more people would visit if there were actual pictures on your sites) so I could see exactly what the “rocks” that they were climbing all over looked like. I did find one picture, and it looked pretty cool. Anyway, I digress. The book is typical of Colfer in that it makes you laugh out loud, you have a growing sense of tension, and you just keep thinking, “Oh, Benny…don’t do that! You’re gonna end up in so much trouble!” but of course, he does “do that” and the adventure rolls on. This is a really good read, but if you’re only going to read one, Benny and Omar is better.
