It’s fall, my favorite season. I’m excited to hunker down (or walk on the treadmill, actually) with some new projects. One of the things I love to do in the fall is dig out my Jerry Spinelli and Paula Danziger books. So many of them start at the beginning of the school year and it makes me feel like I’m going back to school myself. Also, for mentors & inspiration, you can’t beat Jerry and Paula.

I’m taking a short blog hiatus while I think about what direction I want to go with the blog. When I first began blogging, my posts were generally about craft and the process of writing. Then last year, it shifted toward promoting other writers and my book, plus my Friday blog at The Debutante Ball. Now I think it’s time for another change, but I’m not really sure where I want to go with it.

One thing I’d love is to attract more young and teen readers/writers, so I’m contemplating ideas that might interest them.
