Canada Bound & My Finnish Neighbourhood

I am Canada-bound on the 15th of May. It’s more of a visa thing than a strong desire to travel out into the wide world, but that’s how things go sometimes. It will be nice to be back in my own country for a while. Not sure where I’ll end up, but I get to start with 14 days in a government mandated hotel room. Oh, boy! Still, as my lovely friend Enrica said, “Fourteen days? No big deal! Lots of time to write!” And she’s absolutely correct. I have NOTHING to complain about and so I won’t!

I’ve been going on some long walks (while I still can!) and taking photos of the neighbourhood. Thought I’d share them with you.

Arteles Sign
My first deer crossing since I’ve been here…a sign it’s time to go home?
Why, yes, it IS 29 April and this IS snow!
My favourite house on the block.
I thought, what a cool place for a cabin, and then saw someone else thought the same thing…a long, long time ago!
Nice view, eh?
I have an affinity for old buildings. They seem like there must be stories there.
