This is one of those books that you’ve always heard of but maybe never got around to reading. At least that was true for me. The other day, my librarian friend (who I hope is way too busy to read this or I’ll be caught) was talking about A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and I thought…hmmm…do I admit I’ve never read it? Instead I said, “A lot of people name that book as their all time favorite.” and then I immediately went home and put a library hold on it via the internet. I made my husband pick it up when it came in. It’s a pretty amazing book. Considering the book is about truth, I guess I better come clean. Thanks, Susan, for reminding me I’d never read it. Now, the rest of you who haven’t, what are you waiting for?
