		<description>sing it sister! I teach 8th grade. My boys read, they just tend to read magazines or newspapers. They are pretty surprised when I tell them that those are great things to read since they are usually around 8th grade reading level!</description>

		<description>yah well i dont really ever look for another book that i read in class becuase your doing all this novel study and they dont ever really make you want to read others by them and well i read novels like calvin and hobbes but i also read like redwall i really got hooked on those so i believe some boys do read well but some just neglect it</description>

		<description>Reading sports statistics, comic books, etc. is kind of like listening to fluffy pop music whereas reading literary novels is more like listening to classical or jazz music.  When I was a kid I mostly read historical non-fiction.  For pleasure anyway.  Of course I read the books assigned for school but rarely did I seek out another book by an author I&#039;d read for a class.  John Steinbeck was the exception.</description>
