Good advice and I LOVE Victors addition too!

I still find it hysterical that you listen to The Archers – it is firmly linked in my head to the blue rinse brigade. I may have to give it another chance though.

Brilliant little list, especially with the addition of Victor’s advice (funny and true!). I can’t imagine Joelle cursing, however. She would have to practice. Speaking of which, maybe you could add “practice” to the list. For a shy person, that would be essential.

Here is another tip that works for radio and TV interviews IF AND ONLY IF the interview is being taped for broadcast later: If you trip over your words or say something that you instantly realize is completely stupid, just blurt out a stream of the worst obscenities you can think of. I guarantee they will stop the tape and redo the segment. I have had to use this twice and believe me it works like a charm.
