Exactly why “1776″ is a terrific musical. You know the Declaration of Independence will be written and signed, but for most of the show it seems absolutely impossible. Knowing “what” but not “how” can really keep you hooked.

I agree I often guess and I don’t think it matters at all, in fact I’d prefer that than a big twist that comes out of nowhere. Although page 1 seems a little early to know what’s going on! Intrigued as to what the book was.

I lalso love seeing kids with their noses in a book. Your niece will treasure this picture. Kudos to you for helping her grow! My 9-year-old daughter had gotten out of the habit of reading in the spring so over the summer I made a real effort to buy her books and my efforts have paid off. She always has a book going nowadays.
